In 1969, Eric Jennings planted a seed… and it’s kept growing and growing. What was originally known as the local “Fruit Stand” is known today as Masstown Market. Over the past 50 years it has blossomed and expanded to include a wide variety of options for all customers. Masstown Market features fresh local seasonal produce, a full-service Deli, home-style baking, an in-store Restaurant, delicious ice cream at the Dairy Bar, NSLC Liquor Boutique, beautiful plants in the Garden Centre, and a unique Gift Shop.
Masstown Market has expanded to include a fresh fish market in a Lighthouse, fish & chip restaurant located in a fishing boat. A recent expansion welcomed a new Butcher Shop & Creamery, located across the road from the original Market. Milk, cheese, butter, sausage, and bacon are just some of the products made daily in the Creamery and Butcher.
Masstown Market will always be close to home, but far from ordinary.
