Mike and Laurie have been busy preparing Masstown Market-made jams in our kitchen. “We are fortunate to have access to a great supply of local berries and I thought we should give jam making a try,” says Laurie Jennings. “We now have Mike DeSaulniers, our former Catch of The Bay Fish Market manager, back on staff and he was eager to fire up our jam kettle. The finished product is very tasty.”
First on the preserve shelves are bottles of strawberry jam made with Millen Farms strawberries from just up the road, and raspberry jam made with Webster Farm raspberries from Annapolis Valley. There should be batch of wild blueberry jam prepared very soon using Millen Farms wild blueberries.
